BREAK CAMP AND ADVANCE

Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,
CAN WE BUILD IT?  YES WE CAN!!

Deuteronomy 1:7-8 says:  Break Camp and Advance...

Together we as a congregation are seeking the Lord - together we are praying for his guidance and leading in our fundraising campaign.  Success will require close fellowship, a genuine desire to bring the lost to Christ, and the unwavering belief that God will show us the way and provide the means.

Break Camp and Advance is the perfect title for our capital stewardship campaign.  We have been where we are for too long and it is time to move forward!  This campaign is our stewardship promise to God that we will wisely use the resources with which He has entrusted us.  Our faith is in Christ on which future phases of this campaign will be built.

As in the past, when our forefathers stepped out on faith to follow God’s leading, we too look to the future and those that will come after, to create a place for worship, fellowship and discipleship training, in our desire to help others in our area know, love, and serve Jesus.

In order to reach our financial goals we must each consider what God would have us do – we cannot all give an equal amount, but we can all sacrifice equally.  Our firm conviction is that in this sacrifice we will see God moving us toward him and toward personal spiritual growth.

Please join us in fervent prayer for this special campaign and your role in it.  As we unite in this important task, we are all getting ready to Break Camp and Advance!

Sincerely,

Dan and Julie Fritzsche, Campaign Coordinators

NOT EQUAL GIFTS BUT EQUAL SACRIFICE

As each family considers its commitment for the campaign, it is important to understand that the campaign does not call for the same amount to be given by any two families or individuals. It does encourage everyone to make the same quality of commitment. While no one can define commitment for another person, we do know that if one is truly committed to a task, the involvement will be more than token. A commitment involving the true understanding of stewardship and the desire to share Christ with as many as possible is a gift of love to your fellow man and a show of appreciation for all Christ has done for each of us.

Antrim Church of Christ has a tremendous potential as a conduit to reach lost souls; however, that potential will be reached only as each of us determines in our hearts that reaching the lost is a goal worthy of personal financial sacrifice. The actions of the congregation will determine future ministry for years and generations to come.

Twenty years ago a group of people made a huge sacrifice that provided us with the facility we are now in. It has served us well but our church has grown significantly. We will honor their sacrifice by providing for our children and future generations a place to grow in Christ and be a beacon for the community. Your commitment will make that difference!

DEAR FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF ACC

We have seen a momentum gathering in our congregation that is only strengthened by the Break Camp and Advance campaign. People are getting actively involved in this work and the excitement is growing. Our congregation is healthy and vibrant. We are united as one man pursuing the will of God.

It has been fun to see campaign teams working so hard together for a cause they believe in. It has been a blessing to our hearts to see new people come to our church and immediately want to get involved. We have been a very busy congregation and God is rewarding our service to Him.

This campaign is more than a banquet and more than raising money. We want you to personally grow in your commitment to Christ and let this campaign be a blessing to you by deepening our relationship with Christ.

Also, as a congregation we make a sacrificial commitment toward the construction of a worship and service facility. We want to erect a facility that will be a place where hundreds find hope in Jesus Christ.

Please take full advantage of all of the campaign activities—let them influence your life and let your life impact this congregation. There are many who will come to a saving relationship with Christ through this effort. Make this campaign a matter of daily prayer. We are glad to be making this journey with you.

Mark and Robin McCool

THE WORSHIP SERVICE IS THE PRIMARY “DOOR OF ENTRANCE” for people to become involved in the congregational life - Charles Arn

Since our earliest days the Antrim Church of Christ has Enjoyed a delightful worship. It has been a blessing that has produced growth in our church. We are up-beat, joyful yet serious and contemplative. We make it our goal to bring worshippers to the foot of God’s throne. This worship has drawn people into our body and exposed them to the power of the Living God. As people join our fellowship they feel comfortable and choose to make Antrim their church home.

We intend to offer focused worship here and open our doors to a community that must be brought to the throne of God.

THIS IS A FRIENDLY PLACE

People always get a friendly, loving greeting here at Antrim Church of Christ. A hug at the door, a plate of cookies, it’s like coming home. We have always welcomed guests and greeted with open arms. It is a must for future growth and now that our visitors ministry is fully operational we are even more diligent about pursuing those who come for the first time.

This attitude that prevails within us is drawing people from the community into our fellowship. The world offers no grace or acceptance but people find both here. Every time a person enters our doors and receives a warm friendly welcome we have an open door for evangelism. We plant seeds, we water but God continues to give us growth.

YOU HAVE STAYED LONG ENOUGH AT THIS MOUNTAIN...

Fourteen years ago we spent our first Sunday morning service in this building. What an exciting time! There were 169 people in attendance that day. That was the climax of a lot of hard work to build our present building and move ourselves into it.

Since that time a lot of water has gone over the dam. Some of our beloved saints have been called home to be with the Lord. Most of our youngest saints have grown up to start families of their own and have been replaced by other youngsters. Many of the young adults are grayer and older than before. But God is still glorified here at Antrim Church of Christ and the Kingdom work is continuing.

"BREAK CAMP AND ADVANCE"

It is time for us to make a move. Not a new location but a very big move. Our feasibility study completed a few months ago alerted us to the need in our community to develop a stronger outreach. But that would not be sustained without improvements to our present facility. We need more space. That is why we have begun the Break Camp and Advance campaign.

This campaign has specific goals. On goal is financial. We want are committed to raise a large sum of money to reduce construction debt. But another goal is growth. We intend to grow through this process. There are already numerous areas for people to pitch in and help and the number of people who are getting involved is growing! A great deal of work is being done behind the scenes and out in plain sight to get everyone involved. It is a gigantic effort.

"SEE I HAVE GIVEN YOU THE LAND"

For the next several weeks, you will have opportunities through worship services, special events and printed material to learn more about how this new facility will assist with our on-going program to reach people for Christ. With God we are guaranteed success. With you we can do it together.
